The Gospel

The Gospel of Jesus:

For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Romans 5:10  (NAS)

As we learned earlier in this lesson, we were separated from God by our sins (see Isaiah 59:1-2).  This is why we are described as "enemies" of God here in the book of Romans.  However, even though we had sinned against God and were His enemies...God sent His son to die for us.

Question:

According to Romans 5:10, while we were enemies of God...we were reconciled back to God by ________ and we shall be saved by His ________.  (fill in the blanks)

Jesus' Death...Life Our Perfection...Life Money...Mother

Other Translations - Romans 5:10:

For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! (NIV)

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (NKJ)

For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life; (ASV)

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (KJV)
