Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Romans 6:3

When Jesus was baptized, He did it to "fulfill all righteousness." Matthew 3:15.  Jesus had no sin, but yet He set this example for us.

When we are baptized, we are doing it to be baptized or immersed into Jesus' death.  We'll see in a few minutes why being joined with Christ in His death is so important.
