Correct!

Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.  Romans 6:4

We are buried with Christ in baptism so we might walk in newness of life:

Since the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, we want to be "buried with Him through baptism" or "baptized into His death" (because it is in His death where His blood was shed). In a spiritual way...we are buried with Jesus.

When a person is old enough to sin and, as a result of committing sin is separated from God...that person is in need of a new life...a life of being reconciled back to God. After believing and repenting of sin, he or she is buried with Christ through baptism so that he or she "might walk in newness of life."
