Correct.
Then
the LORD said to Noah, "Enter the ark,
you and all
your household; for you I have seen righteous
before Me in this time." Genesis 7:1 (NAS)
God fulfills His promise:
God waited patiently for men to turn from their
sin...and prepared a way to escape the destruction
that was brought about by man's sin. Consider these
scriptures:
"By
faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet
seen, in reverence
prepared an ark for the salvation of his household,
by which he condemned the world, and became an heir
of the righteousness which is according to faith."
Hebrews 11:7 (NAS)
"...who once were disobedient,
when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of
Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a
few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely
through the water." 1 Peter 3:20 (NAS)
"...and did not spare the
ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of
righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a
flood upon the world of the ungodly;" 2 Peter 2:5
(NAS)
God, the righteous judge, decided the method by
which Noah would be saved.
If you lived in Noah's time, would you have
decided to repent of your sin and enter that ark to
be saved in the water with Noah and his family? Or
would you try to save yourself outside the ark?
