Correct!
"He
who believes in the Son has
eternal life;
but he who
does not obey the Son shall not see life, but
the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36 (NAS)
"My sheep hear My voice, and I
know them, and
they follow
Me; and
I give
eternal life to them, and they shall never
perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My
hand." John 10:27-28 (NAS)
"...to those who
by
perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor
and immortality, eternal life; but to those
who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the
truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and
indignation." Romans 2:7-8 (NAS)
God did not promise riches on this earth, but
instead, treasures in heaven:
"For
it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of
God." And they who heard it said, "Then who can be
saved?" But He said, "The things impossible with men
are possible with God." Luke 18:25-27 (NAS)
"Do not lay up for yourselves
treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal. "But lay up
for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither
moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not
break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there
will your heart be also." Matthew 6:19-21 (NAS)
"And that slave who knew his
master's will and did not get ready or act in accord
with his will, shall receive many lashes, but the
one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy
of a flogging, will receive but few. And from
everyone who has been given much shall much be
required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him
they will ask all the more." Luke 12:47-48 (NAS)
"Therefore be on the alert, for
you do not know which day your Lord is coming. "But
be sure of this, that if the head of the house had
known at what time of the night the thief was
coming, he would have been on the alert and would
not have allowed his house to be broken into. "For
this reason you be ready too; for the Son of Man is
coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
"Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom
his master put in charge of his household to give
them their food at the proper time? "Blessed is that
slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes."
Matthew 24:42-46 (NAS)
But what about the land promise to Abraham and
his descendants? Was this a country on earth
or a heavenly country?
"By
faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going
out to a place which he was to receive for an
inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he
was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land
of promise, as in a foreign land dwelling in tents
with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same
promise; for he was looking for the city which has
foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
By faith even Sarah herself received ability to
conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since
she considered Him faithful who had promised;
therefore, also, there was born of one man, and him
as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the
stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the
sand which is by the seashore. All these died in
faith, without receiving the promises, but having
seen them and having welcomed them from a distance,
and having confessed that they were strangers and
exiles on the earth. For those who say such things
make it clear that they are seeking a country of
their own. And indeed if they had been thinking of
that country from which they went out, they would
have had opportunity to return. But as it is,
they desire
a better country, that is a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God;
for He has prepared a city for them." Hebrews
11:8-16 (NAS)
