According to Ezekiel 18, children do not inherit the
sins of their parents (if you have time, read the
entire chapter in your Bible):
Ezekiel
18:20 -- "The person who sins will die. The son will
not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity,
nor will the father bear the punishment for the
son's iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous
will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the
wicked will be upon himself." (NAS)
Although, children do suffer the consequences of
the sins of their parents. For example, parents who
drink, smoke or take drugs often times have babies
with severe medical problems. Parents of children
that are not married or divorced, may have to raise
their children in a broken home. There are too many
examples to mention here. |
