Correct.
Does your faith cause you to want to be closer to Christ...and to lead others to
Christ as well? Do you know someone, like in these examples, who is
crying out to Jesus for His help?
In these last few examples, there is no mention of Jesus asking these people
to do anything in the faith process.
Most of these recent examples followed the following steps:
By Faith:
They Were Healed
Faith is the assurance of things
hoped for...
the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews
11:1 |
1. What is the
thing hoped for...or is not seen? |
What Is
The Thing Hoped For:
That
Jesus would heal them from their diseases
and infirmities. |
2. What is
man's
part, if any? |
None
in these recent examples. Their
healing was not dependent on them doing
anything other than asking Jesus for help.
Jesus did not ask them to do anything prior
to be healed. |
3. What is
God's part? |
Jesus healed them and in some cases forgave
their sins. |
4. How do they
have this assurance and conviction that God
would heal them? |
-
Understand the thing hoped
for...or the thing not seen.
-
Hear God's word (Faith comes
by hearing...and hearing by the word of
Christ. Romans 10:17) to
understand God's power and faithfulness
to His promises.
-
Do your part, if any.
-
Trust God that He has done what
He has said...and/or that He will do
what He promises.
-
Pray that God will help increase
your belief and faith (Luke 17:5, Mark
9:23-24) and give you wisdom (James 1:5).

Now let us look at how Jesus prepared His disciples for the kind of faith they
were to have.
