Correct.
Then
I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me.
And having turned
I saw seven
golden lampstands; 13and
in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son
of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the
feet, and girded across His chest with a golden
sash. Revelation 1:12-13 (NAS)
In addition, this "one" had seven stars in His hand...and a sword in His
mouth:
"And in His right hand He held seven stars; and out of His mouth came a
sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength."
Revelation 1:16 (NAS)
The Two-Edged Sword in His Mouth:
Although the meaning of the two-edged sword is
not given in the Revelation, the following
scriptures help us to identify what it means:
Therefore,
take up the full armor of God, that you may be able
to resist in the evil day, and having done
everything, to stand firm. 14Stand firm
therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and
having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15and having shod your feet with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; 16in
addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with
which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming
missiles of the evil one. 17And take the
helmet of salvation, and
the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18With
all prayer and petition pray at all times in the
Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with
all perseverance and petition for all the
saints...Ephesians 6:13-18 (NAS)
For the
word of God is living
and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and
piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit,
of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the
thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but
all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him
with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13 (NAS)
But He (Jesus) answered and
said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread
alone, but on
every word
that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4 (NAS)
