Correct.
"And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed
the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the
mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image;
these two were thrown
alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone." Revelation
19:20 (NAS)
Although the beast and false prophet had gathered
with the kings of the earth to battle against the
One on the white horse...there is no recorded
battle...no recorded struggle. The beast and
the false prophet are seized and thrown into the
lake of fire.
The great supper of God:
For all those who have joined with Satan's beast
and false prophet, this is a tragic day...a day of
horror. There was an angel standing in the
sun:
And
I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried out
with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly
in midheaven, "Come, assemble for the
great supper
of God; 18 in order that you may
eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of
commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh
of horses and of those who sit on them and the
flesh
of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and
great." Revelation 19:17-18 (NAS)
Although the beginning of chapter 19 talks about
the marriage feast of the Lamb, this is not an
ordinary wedding feast or supper. In this
feast, those who have allied themselves with Satan,
Satan's beast and/or the false prophet become the
feast for birds:
"And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of
Him who sat upon the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh."
Revelation 19:21 (NAS)
How does the sword which came from Jesus' mouth
relate to this judgment?
Consider the following scriptures:
"He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges
him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day." John
12:48 (NAS)
"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged
sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints
and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12 (NAS)
"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God." Ephesians 6:17 (NAS)
"Repent therefore; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make
war against them with the sword of My mouth." Revelation 2:16 (NAS)
Reflection:
How important would it have been to the Christians suffering intense
persecution at that time to know what would happen to this beast and the false
prophets who were persecuting, killing and deceiving those around them who were
followers of Christ? What a horror it will be for those who have allied
themselves with the things of Satan and false
teaching. Jesus says in Luke chapter 11:
"He
who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does
not gather with Me, scatters." Luke 11:23 (NAS)
See also Matthew 12:30. Are you on God's side
or not? If not...we beg you to change your
heart and mind and to obey the gospel of Christ (see
Lesson 1).

The one that worships the beast (animal), or the idol or
image of the beast, or gets the mark of the beast will be punished.
This means that God's holy people must be patient. They must obey
God's commands and keep their faith in Jesus. |
It will be bad for those people who worship the animal
and his idol or get the mark of his name. That person will be tortured
with burning sulfur before the holy angels and the Lamb. And the smoke
from their burning pain will rise forever and ever. There will be no
rest, day or night, for those people who worship the animal and his idol or
get the mark of his name. |

Come out of that city, my people, so that you will not share in her sins.
Then you will not get any of the bad things that will happen to her. |
Revelation 18:4 |
John fell down to worship an angel. |
John was told not to do this (we are not to worship those
