Correct.
...and
nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination
and lying, shall ever come into it, but
only those
whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 21:27 (NAS)
The King James Version (KJV) of the Bible says in verse 24:
"And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it."
Revelation 21:24
Do you need to be perfect to be in the
church...the bride of Christ?
For those who have sinned...the first step is to
be made free from sin through the blood of Christ
and obedience to His gospel (see Acts 2:38-39, Mark
16:15-16, Romans 6:1-17). Afterward, those
that have received forgiveness of sins are
continually cleansed of their sin if they walk in
the light:
If
we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk
in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the
truth; 7but if we walk in the light as He
Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one
another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us
from all sin. 8If we say that we have no
sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is
not in us. 9If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:6-9
(NAS)
Man cannot be perfect on his own. But
through Jesus Christ, our names can be added to His
book of life. We also cannot continue in
sin...hoping that grace may abound (see Romans
6:1-7).
When a person is part of this group of people, or bride of Christ, God
promises to he who overcomes:
"And He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of
the water of life without cost. He who overcomes shall inherit these
things, and I will be his God and he will be My son." Revelation 21:6-7
(NAS)
However, to those who do not overcome:
"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and
immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be
in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
Revelation 21:8 (NAS)

God." (NAS)
Acts 8:12 -- "But when they believed Philip preaching the good news about the

women alike." (NAS)
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 -- "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor
the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the
kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you
were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and in the Spirit of our God." (NAS)
Colossians 1:13-14 -- "For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and

2 Peter 1:10-11 -- "Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make
certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these

you." (NAS)
Colossians 1:21-22 -- "And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in
mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body
through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and
beyond reproach.." (NAS)
Ephesians 5:25-27 -- "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the
church and gave Himself up for her; that He might sanctify her, having
cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to
Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such
thing; but that she should be holy and blameless." (NAS)
2 Corinthians 11:2 -- "For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I
betrothed you to one husband, that to Christ I might present you as a pure
virgin." (NAS)
