Chapter
22: The Bride of the Lamb:
In Chapter 21, John saw a new heaven and a new
earth, for the first earth had passed away.
John saw the bride of the Lamb (Jesus) coming down
from heaven. The bride of the Lamb is the
group of Jesus' followers...also referred to as the
church. Those in the church were clothed with
white linen, which represented their righteous
deeds. The image used to represent the bride
of Christ was a huge city with 12 foundation stones
(one for each of the 12 apostles), other foundation
stones consisting of 12 precious stones, and 12
gates...each made of a single pearl. The
streets were of pure gold that was as clear as
glass.
In the city, there was no need for the sun or the
moon, because it was illumined by the glory of God...and
the lamp of the Lamb.
Let's continue with Chapter 22:
And
he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as
crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the
Lamb, 2in the middle of its street. And
on either side of the river was the tree of life,
bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit
every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the
healing of the nations. 3And there shall
no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of
the Lamb shall be in it, and His bond-servants shall
serve Him; 4and they shall see His face,
and His name shall be on their foreheads. Revelation
22:1-4 (NAS)
Question:
According to Revelation 22:4, what shall be on His servants'
foreheads?
