Chapter
3:7-13: The message written to the church in
Philadelphia:
"And
to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true,
who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no
one opens, says this: 8`I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before
you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and
have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Revelation 3:7-8 (NAS)
In Revelation 3:7, Jesus (the one writing to
the angel or messenger of the church in Philadelphia) is described as:
-
Holy,
-
He that is true,
-
He that has the key of David, and
-
He that opens and none shall shut, and He that shuts where
no one can open.
Question:
According to Revelation 3:8, Jesus tells them that
He knows their works, and that He has put before them an open door which none can shut...because they had what? |
