Correct.
Keep up the good work!
Then I
looked, and there before me was an open door
in heaven. And I heard the same voice that
spoke to me before. It was the voice that
sounded like a trumpet. The voice said,
"Come up here, and I will show you what must
happen after this."
Revelation 4:1(NAS) |
The
voice that sounded like a trumpet:
In Revelation 4, John hears the same voice that
spoke to him before. As a reminder, it was
Jesus who first spoke to John at the beginning of
the Revelation. Jesus' voice was like the
sound of a trumpet in John's vision as we see below
in Revelation chapter 1:
I
was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and
I heard
behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet,
11saying, "Write in a book what you see,
and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to
Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis
and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea." 12And
I turned to
see the voice that was speaking with me. And having
turned I saw seven golden lampstands; 13and
in the middle of the lampstands one like a son of
man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet,
and girded across His breast with a golden girdle.
14And His head and His hair were white
like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a
flame of fire; Revelation 1:10-14 (NAS)
John was asked to come up to heaven so that he might be shown what must take
place.
