Read Chapter 7 Chapter 7:  The Lamb opens the seals of the book in heaven:

Chapter 7 records what John saw prior to the Lamb (Jesus) opening the seventh and final seal on the book. The chapter starts with the angels being warned not to harm the earth, sea or trees until the bond-servants of God are sealed on their foreheads.

In Question 4, we looked at the description of the bond-servants of God that would receive this seal or mark on their forehead.  This was such a great number that no one could count all of them.  They were from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues (includes the nation or tribes of Israel - the Jews).  They were all standing before the throne of God:

New American Standard Version of the BibleAfter these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; 10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." Revelation 7:3-10 (NAS)

The promise to those clothed in white robes:

New American Standard Version of the BibleAnd one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and from where have they come?" 14And I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15"For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne shall spread His tabernacle over them. 16"They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; 17for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from their eyes." Revelation 7:13-17 (NAS)

Question:

  1. They will be before the throne of God; and will serve Him (God) day and night in his temple.

  2. He that sits on the throne shall spread his tabernacle (or tent of protection) over them.

  3. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun beat down upon them, nor any heat.

  4. The Lamb that is in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd.

  5. The Lamb shall guide them to springs of the water of life.

  6. God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Easy-to-Read Version of the BibleThen one of the elders asked me, "Who are these people in white robes? Where did they come from?"  14I answered, "You know who they are, sir." And the elder said, "These are the people who have come out of the great suffering. They have washed their robes with the blood of the Lamb. Now they are clean and white.  15So now these people are before the throne of God. They worship God day and night in his temple. And the One (God) who sits on the throne will protect them. 16They will never be hungry again. They will never be thirsty again. The sun will not hurt them. No heat will burn them.  17The Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of water that give life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
