Correct.
"Now
I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my
flesh I do my share on behalf of
His body
(which is the church) in filling up that
which is lacking in Christ's afflictions."
Colossians 1:24 (NAS)
"He is also head of
the body,
the church; and He is the beginning, the
first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might
come to have first place in everything." Colossians
1:18 (NAS)
The church that belongs to Jesus is a group or
congregation of people (e.g., in Acts 2:38-47 the
Lord added three thousand people to His church on
that first day...and more each day thereafter as
they were being saved). Although this body of
believers may meet at times in a building or a
structure; the church itself is not a physical building or
structure.
