The Kingdom: A King and His Subjects
In this world today, we sometimes bristle at the
idea of being subject to rulers or authorities, or
to other people. The concept of a kingdom is
that you have a king or a ruler; and then those who
subject themselves to the king's rule...sometimes
referred to as "the subjects" or
servants, or the ones
in submission to the king.
Let's look at the pattern that Jesus set out for
His church.
  But
as the church is subject to Christ, so also the
wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.
Ephesians 5:24 (NAS)
