Correct Answer!

"Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed should come to whom the promise had been made." Galatians 3:19 (NAS)

Jesus is the Promised "Seed" of Abraham

As we have already studied, God had promised Abraham that from his seed or a specific descendant, all the nations of the earth would be blessed:

"And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice." Genesis 22:18 (NAS)

We know from various scriptures that this "seed" was referring to Jesus Christ who was a descendant of Abraham through His mother Mary (see also the genealogy of Jesus recorded in Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3):

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as referring to many, but rather to one, "And to your seed," that is, Christ. Galatians 3:16 (NAS)
