Will We Always Be in the Image of God?
Let's continue to look at the condition of unborn
children:
"And
the LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb;
and two peoples shall be separated from your body;
and one people shall be stronger than the other; and
the older shall serve the younger." Genesis 25:23
(NAS)
"Thus says the LORD who made
you and formed you from the womb, who will help you,
'Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; and you Jeshurun
whom I have chosen." Isaiah 44:2 (NAS)
"Before I formed you in the
womb I knew you, and before you were born I
consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to
the nations." Jeremiah 1:5 (NAS)
"for though the twins were not
yet born, and had not done anything good or bad, in
order that God's purpose according to His choice
might stand, not because of works, but because of
Him who calls," Romans 9:11 (NAS)
Question:
According to the scriptures above, what are
the characteristics of the unborn child in a
mother's womb?
- It is not a human being.
- God doesn't care about it, whatever it is.
- God "knows" the unborn child. The
unborn child is already part of the "nations"
of the world. God "forms" the child in
the womb. An unborn child has "not done
anything good or bad."
