Do you have an infant or small child? Or know a
friend, family member or neighbor who has an infant
or small child? How does it make you feel that the
kingdom of God belongs to that small child?
But what about older children and adults?
When we commit sin, how do we become like little
children again (spiritually...not physically)?
"Jesus
answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to
you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a
man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second
time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"
Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless
one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter
into the kingdom of God." John 3:3-5 (NAS)
"Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great
mercy has caused us to be born again to a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from
the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is
imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away,
reserved in heaven for you," 1 Peter 1:3-4 (NAS)
"And corresponding to that,
baptism now saves you-- not the removal of dirt from
the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good
conscience-- through the resurrection of Jesus
