Will We Always Be in the Image of God?
Let's look at the condition of infants and small
children:
"But
Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not
hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of
heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
(NAS)
"But when Jesus saw this, He
was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children
to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom
of God belongs to such as these. "Truly I say to
you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God
like a child shall not enter it at all. And He took
them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His
hands upon them." Mark 10:14-16 (NAS)
"But Jesus called for them,
saying, "Permit the children to come to Me, and do
not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to
such as these. "Truly I say to you, whoever does not
receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not
enter it at all." Luke 18:16-17 (NAS)
"See that you do not despise
one of these little ones, for I say to you, that
their angels in heaven continually behold the face
of My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18:10 (NAS)
Question:
According to these scriptures, what are the
characteristics of infants and small children?
- They are sinful, and need to do what adults
do to become saved.
- They need to be as adults are.
- The "kingdom of heaven belongs to"
them. Jesus took children and "blessed them"
and laid His hands on them. Jesus said
"...their angels in heaven continually behold
the face of My Father who is in heaven."
