The Physical Nature of God, the Father:

As we have learned so far from Jesus:

Jesus says: "No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him." John 1:18 (NAS)

Jesus says:  "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:24 (NAS)

Let's continue to look as Jesus explains the Father to us through the inspired New Testament writers:

And He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation." Colossians 1:15 (NAS)

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." 1 Timothy 1:17 (NAS)

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20 (NAS)

Question:

According to these scriptures, what are some reasons that "no man has seen God at any time?"

  1. God, the Father has been hiding.
  2. Man has not tried to look at God.
  3. God, the Father is spirit.  He is invisible.  He has invisible attributes.

1. Hiding 2. Not Looking 3. Invisible Spirit
