The Physical Nature of Jesus, the Son of God:

Let's begin by looking at the physical nature of Jesus before His birth.  As we have studied in prior lessons, John chapter 1 describes Jesus as "the Word."

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men....14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-4, 14 (NAS)

The Word (Jesus) was with God in the beginning (vs.1-2) and was God (vs.1).  Then it says in verse 14 that "the Word became flesh."

Question:

According to John 1:14, what would Jesus' physical nature have been before he "became flesh?"

Body of Flesh Not a Body of Flesh
