A person may be mistaken about the physical nature
of Jesus...and that person might be sincere in their
beliefs. But in this passage, such a person is not
described as sincere; rather is described as a
"deceiver."
When Christopher Columbus sailed to America, it
is reported that there were some very sincere people
who thought the earth was flat and that he would
sail off the end of the earth. Whether or not these
stories are true or not...sincerity does not equate
to being correct. |
