"Therefore
the Lord Himself will give you a sign: behold,
a virgin
will be with child and bear a son, and she
will call His name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14
(prophesying about the birth of Christ - NAS)
"Behold,
the virgin
shall be with child, and shall bear a Son,
and they shall call His name Immanuel," which
translated means, "God with us." And Joseph arose
from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord
commanded him, and took her as his wife, and kept
her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he
called His name Jesus." Matthew 1:23-25 (NAS)
"And Mary said to the angel, "How
can this be, since I am a virgin?" Luke 1:34
(NAS)
"And Joseph arose from his

she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name

Mary Was A Virgin Until After Jesus Was Born
According to scripture, Jesus' mother was a
virgin until after Jesus was born (see Matthew
1:24-25 above). After this, Joseph and Mary had
their own children. There are several references to
Jesus' brothers and sisters, including for example:
"While
He (Jesus) was still speaking to the multitudes,
behold, His mother and brothers were standing
outside, seeking to speak to Him. And someone said
to Him, "Behold, your mother and your brothers are
standing outside seeking to speak to you." Matthew
12:46-47 (NAS)
"Is not this the carpenter's
son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His
brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? "And
His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then
did this man get all these things?" Matthew
13:55-56 (NAS)
What would you think about a person or group that
teaches that Mary was not a virgin when Jesus was
born (that she had sexual relations that resulted in
Jesus' birth)?
Do you believe that Jesus "became flesh"
when He was born of a virgin? Do you believe
that God has the power to make this happen?
