Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Thy law is truth. Psalm 119:142 (NAS) 

The Teachings of The Spirit vs. The Word of God

We will see from scripture that the teachings of the Spirit are from God, the Father.  The teachings of the Holy Spirit are not in opposition to scripture.  The Holy Spirit's teachings and the teachings of God's word are both consistent and are both considered "truth."

The sum of Thy word is truth, and every one of Thy righteous ordinances is everlasting. Psalm 119:160 (NAS)
