Correct.
"And Peter said to them,
"Repent, and let each of
you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the
gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you
and your children, and for all who are far off, as
many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself."
Acts 2:38-39 (NAS)
Who Is This Promise To?
For
the promise is for you and your children, and for
all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God
shall call to Himself." Acts 2:38-39 (NAS)
"So then, those who had
received his word were baptized; and there were
added that day about three thousand souls." Acts
2:41 (NAS)
"If
you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to
your children, how much more shall your heavenly
Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"
Luke 11:13 (NAS)
This Promise Still Applies Today
For those who ask God for the Holy Spirit today,
God already has given an answer.
God has given the method by which we receive the
Holy Spirit...and the promise in Acts 2:38-39 above.
Are you willing to have faith that God will give you
these things if you do the things He asks?
