Correct.

"And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, ¹² that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises."  Hebrews 6:11-12 (NAS)

God wants us to be "imitators" of those who inherited the promises through faith and patience.   Their faith and patience caused them to have "diligence"...so that they might realize the "full assurance of hope."

Let's look further at the book of Hebrews...and its definition of faith, and also those men and women of faith who we should imitate.
