Read Chapter 12Chapter 12:  The War in Heaven.  Satan thrown down to earth:

New American Standard Version of the BibleAnd there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war, 8and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death. Revelation 12:7-11 (NAS)

  1. Satan and his angels warred against the angels of God, but they did not prevail.

  2. Satan and his angels were cast down from heaven.

  3. Satan was the accuser of the brethren (those in the kingdom of God), but they overcame Satan.

Question:

Other Translations - Revelation 12:7-11:

Easy-to-Read Version of the BibleThen there was a war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the giant snake. The snake and his angels fought back. 8But the snake was not strong enough. The giant snake and his angels lost their place in heaven.  9The snake was thrown down out of heaven. (The giant snake is that old snake called the devil or Satan. He leads the whole world into the wrong way.) The snake with his angels were thrown to the earth. 10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "The victory and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority (power) of his Christ have now come. These things have come, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown out. He is the one who accused our brothers day and night before our God. 11Our brothers defeated him by the blood (death) of the Lamb and by the message [of God] they told people. They did not love their lives too much. They were not afraid of death. (ERV)

American Standard Version of the BibleAnd there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels (going forth) to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels; 8And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. 10And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death. (ASV)

King James Version of the BibleAnd there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
