12: The War in Heaven. Satan thrown down to earth:
 And
there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels
waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his
angels waged war, 8and they were not
strong enough, and there was no longer a place found
for them in heaven. 9And the great dragon
was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called
the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world;
he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were
thrown down with him. 10And I heard a
loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation,
and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the
authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser
of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses
them before our God day and night. 11And
they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb
and because of the word of their testimony, and they
did not love their life even to death. Revelation

In Revelation 12:7-10, Michael (the archangel of God) and
his angels went forth to war with Satan in heaven:

Satan and his angels warred against the angels of God, but
they did not prevail.

Satan and his angels were cast down from heaven.

Satan was the accuser of the brethren (those in the kingdom of
God), but they overcame Satan.
Question:
According to Revelation 12:10-11, how did the "brethren"
overcome Satan?

Then
there was a war in heaven. Michael and his angels
fought against the giant snake. The snake and his
angels fought back. 8But the snake was
not strong enough. The giant snake and his angels
lost their place in heaven. 9The
snake was thrown down out of heaven. (The giant
snake is that old snake called the devil or Satan.
He leads the whole world into the wrong way.) The
snake with his angels were thrown to the earth.
10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"The victory and the power and the kingdom of our
God and the authority (power) of his Christ have now
come. These things have come, because the accuser of
our brothers has been thrown out. He is the one who
accused our brothers day and night before our God.
11Our brothers defeated him by the blood (death) of the Lamb and by the message
[of God] they told people. They did not love their lives too much. They were not
afraid of death. (ERV)

(going forth) to war with the dragon; and the dragon
warred and his angels; 8And they
prevailed not, neither was their place found any
more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was
