Read Chapter 19Chapter 19:  The Judgment of the Great City and the Rejoicing:

In the previous chapter, the great city (called the "harlot" or "Babylon") had been destroyed...this city that had been responsible for the death of the saints.  The city had been burned by fire...and would be thrown down as a great stone is cast into the sea.

Chapter 19 begins with rejoicing in heaven:

New American Standard Version of the BibleAfter these things I heard, as it were, a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God; 2because His judgments are true and righteous; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His bond-servants on her." 3And a second time they said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke rises up forever and ever." 4And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne saying, "Amen. Hallelujah!" 5And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great." 6And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude and as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. 7"Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready."  Revelation 19:1-7 (NAS)

After the destruction of the great harlot (this great city that had been responsible for the death of the saints), there was great praise and honor given to God.  There were many voices in heaven, including the 24 elders and four living creatures who were giving praises to God.

Question:

According to Revelation 19:7, the voice of the great multitude said: Let us rejoice and be glad and give glory to Him, for what reason?

Other Translations - Revelation 19:1-7:

Easy-to-Read Version of the BibleAfter this I heard what sounded like many, many people in heaven. The people were saying: "Hallelujah (Praise God)!  Victory, glory, and power belong to our God. 2His judgments are true and right. Our God has punished the prostitute. She is the one who made the earth evil with her sexual sin.  God has punished the prostitute to pay her for the blood (death) of his servants." 3Those people in heaven also said:  "Hallelujah (Praise God)! [She is burning and] her smoke will rise forever and ever." 4Then the 24 elders and the four living things bowed down. They worshiped God, who sits on the throne. They said: "Amen, Hallelujah (Praise God)!" 5Then a voice came from the throne. The voice said:  "Praise our God, all you people that serve him!  Praise our God, all you people small and great that honor him!" 6Then I heard something that sounded like many, many people. It sounded like the noise of flooding water and like loud thunder. The people were saying: "Hallelujah (Praise God)!  Our Lord God rules.  He is the All-Powerful. 7Let us rejoice and be happy and give God glory!  Give God glory, because the wedding of the Lamb (Jesus) has come.  And the Lamb's bride (the church) has made herself ready. American Standard Version of the BibleAfter these things I heard as it were a great voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah; Salvation, and glory, and power, belong to our God: 2for true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, her that corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3And a second time they say, Hallelujah. And her smoke goeth up for ever and ever. 4And the four and twenty elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God that sitteth on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelujah. 5And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, Give praise to our God, all ye his servants, ye that fear him, the small and the great. 6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunders, saying, Hallelujah: for the Lord our God, the Almighty reigneth. 7Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (ASV)

King James Version of the BibleAnd after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 4And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. 5And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
