"Let
us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come
and His bride has made herself ready." Revelation 19:7 (NAS)
At first there was great glory given to
God, as follows:
The voice of the great multitude in
heaven said (Revelation
19:1-3):
-
Hallelujah; Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.
-
True and righteous are His judgments.
-
He has judged the great harlot, she that corrupted the earth...
-
He has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand.
-
Hallelujah. The smoke (from the burning city) goes up for
ever and ever.
The twenty-four elders and four living
creatures around the throne (Revelation 19:4):
-
They fell down and worshiped God that sits on the throne.
-
They said Amen; Hallelujah.
The voice (that sounded like many
waters and mighty thunders) coming from the throne said (Revelation 19:5):
-
Give praise to our God, all ye his servants, he that fear Him,
the small and the great.
The voice of a great multitude (that
sounded like many waters and mighty thunders) said (Revelation 19:6-7):
-
Hallelujah: for the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns.
-
Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad.
-
Let us give glory unto him for the marriage of the Lamb is come,
and His bride has made herself ready.
God was being given the glory because
the wedding of the Lamb had come:
"Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for
the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready."
