Correct.
"...and they (they souls of the beheaded) came to life and reigned with
Christ..." Revelation 20:4 (NAS)
Jesus and His apostles promised that some would
reign with Christ:
Jesus speaking to (or about) the apostles:
"And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, that you who have
followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His
glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the
twelve tribes of Israel." Matthew 19:28 (NAS)
Jesus speaking to (or about) the saints, or those
who will overcome:
"He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My
throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
Revelation 3:21 (NAS)
"Or do you not know that
the saints will judge the world? And
if the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the
smallest law courts? Do you not know that we shall judge angels?
How much more, matters of this life? 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 (NAS)
Jesus' throne and dominion is forever and ever:
Not only in this age, but also in the age to come:
"...which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the
dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all
rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named,
not
only in this age, but also in the one to come." Ephesians 1:20-21
(NAS)
Forever and ever:
"Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God;
whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that
in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs
the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:11
(NAS)
"And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under
the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him
who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be
blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever." Revelation 5:13 (NAS)
"He (Jesus) will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most
High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and His kingdom will have no
end." Luke 1:32-33 (NAS)
"But of the Son He says "Thy throne, O God, is forever and
ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."
Hebrews 1:8 (NAS)
Jesus will reign while His enemies are being
abolished:
"For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
The last enemy that will be abolished is death." 1 Corinthians
15:25-26 (NAS)
Where is Jesus reigning now...and forever and ever?
After Jesus was risen from the dead, He went to
heaven to sit on His Father's throne in heaven:
"...which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the
dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all
rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not
only in this age, but also in the one to come." Ephesians 1:20-21
(NAS)
"Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high
priest (Jesus), who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens..." Hebrews 8:1 (NAS)
"...as I (Jesus) also overcame and
sat down with My Father on His
throne." Revelation 3:21 (NAS)
In addition, Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place
for us:
"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would
have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that
where I am, there you may be also." (NAS)
How long will His followers be with Him in heaven:
"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and
thus we shall always be with the
Lord." 1Thessalonians 4:17 (NAS)
How long will the souls of the beheaded (those mentioned
in Revelation 20:4-6) reign with Christ?
They will reign with Christ during the period that
the devil was put into the abyss (bottomless pit):
And
he (the angel) laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil
and Satan, and bound him for a
thousand years, 3and threw him into the abyss, and shut it
and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any
longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must
be released for a short time. Revelation 20:2-3 (NAS)
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to
them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded...and they came to
life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years....The rest of the dead did
not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first
resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first
resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be
priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:4-6 (NAS)
As we discussed earlier, the number
1000 is oftentimes used in scripture symbolically to mean completeness. As with the
other images used in the Revelation, the 1000 years is most likely used as a
symbol, rather than a literal 1,000 year time period. For information,

In addition to this initial period that the
saints would reign, the Revelation later says that the
bond-servants of Christ will reign forever and ever:
"And there shall no longer be any night; and they (the bond-servants of
God and Christ) shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of
the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and
they shall reign
forever and ever." Revelation 22:5 (NAS)
If you are a bond-servant of God and Christ, how does it make you feel to know that
you would sit on a throne with Jesus in heaven
and reign with Him forever and ever?
