Read Chapter 7 Chapter 7:  The Lamb opens the seals of the book in heaven:

In Chapter 6, we see the Lamb (Jesus) taking the book (scroll) with the seven seals from the One who sits on the throne and opening six of the seven seals.  When the sixth seal of the book was opened, John saw in his vision a great earthquake, the sun was darkened, the moon became red like blood, the stars fell to the earth, the sky was divided, every mountain was moved from its place, and all the people hid in caves.  The great day for the anger of Jesus and the One who sits on the throne had come.

Chapter 7 records what John saw prior to the Lamb (Jesus) opening the seventh and final seal on the book.  Let's begin by looking at the first three verses:

New American Standard Version of the BibleAfter this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind should blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads." Revelation 7:1-3 (NAS)

Question:

According to Revelation 7:1-3, how many angels did John see in this portion of his vision?

Four Five Ten

Other Translations - Revelation 7:1-3:

Easy-to-Read Version of the BibleAfter this happened I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth. The angels were holding the four winds of the earth. They were stopping the wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2Then I saw another angel coming from the east. This angel had the seal of the living God. The angel called out with a loud voice to the four angels. These were the four angels that God had given the power to hurt the earth and the sea. The angel said to the four angels, 3"Don't hurt the land or the sea or the trees before we put the sign on the people who serve our God. We must put the sign on their foreheads." (ERV)
