Section 3B of Preface: The Souls of the Dead

"As sheep they are appointed for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd; and the upright shall rule over them in the morning; and their form shall be for Sheol to consume, so that they have no habitation. But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol; for He will receive me. Selah." Psalm 49:14-15 (NAS)

Question:

According to Psalm 49:15, God has a plan to redeem us from what power?

Sheol/Death The Sun Governments

Other Translations - Psalm 49:15:

Those people are just like sheep. The grave will be their pen. Death will be their shepherd. Then on that morning the good people will be the winners as the bodies of those proud people slowly rot in the grave, far away from their fancy houses. 15But God will pay the price and save my life. He will save me from the power of the grave when he takes me to be with him! SELAH (ERV)

"They are appointed as a flock for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, that there be no habitation for it. But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol; for he will receive me. (Selah)" (ASV)

"Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah." (KJV)
