How to save your place:

Instructions for Saving Your Place:

Microsoft Internet Explorer Users:

  1. Go to the page you want to save (don't try it here on this page...or you will end up saving this page)
  2.  Click on "Favorites" (from the browser menu at the very top of your screen), then "Add to Favorites."  This will create an entry in your favorites file with the URL (uniform resource locator) of the site and the title of the page as the descriptor.  To retrieve the page, go to Favorites and look for the page name you saved. To delete the favorite later, just right-click on it and choose delete.

Netscape Users:

  1. Go to the page you want to save (don't try it here on this page...or you will end up saving this page)
  2. The easiest way is to press Ctrl-D on your keyboard and then press "Okay" to save.  The 2nd option is to use the Add Bookmark or Bookmark This Page option from the Bookmarks menu. This will create an entry in your bookmarks file with the URL (uniform resource locator) of the site and the title of the page as the descriptor. To return to that site, click on the Bookmarks menu and you should see a list of all your bookmarks and folders. This list is only displays the first 25 bookmarks (or so) and if you have more than you can use the down-arrow or more bookmarks button to review them. To delete the favorite later, just right-click on it and choose delete.

Other Browsers:

The instructions are very similar to those above.  If you have problems, click on the help section of your browser software.

History Icon:

Also, some browsers have a button called "History" to allow you to see a history of web pages viewed each day.  You can look at the history to find the last question you visited.  If you can't find the History icon in Internet Explorer, go to "View, Explorer Bar, History."
