Correct.
"For
many
deceivers have gone out into the world, those
who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the
flesh. This
is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8
Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we
have accomplished, but that you may receive a full
reward. 9 Anyone who goes too far and
does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not
have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has
both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone
comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do
not receive him into your house, and do not give him
a greeting; 11 for the one who gives him
a greeting participates in his evil deeds." I1 John
1:7-11 (NAS)
A Serious Matter
It is a very serious matter when a person does
not acknowledge Jesus as coming in the flesh.
Verses 10-11 say that anyone that comes to you and
does not bring this teaching, "you are not to
receive him into your house"...and you are
"not to give him a greeting." Even by
giving him (the deceiver) a greeting, you
"participate in his evil deeds."
Do you know of a person or group that teaches
that Jesus did
not
"become flesh" when He came to this earth?
Jesus Rose From the Dead - A Body of Flesh and
Bone
As we saw earlier in this lesson, even when Jesus
rose from the dead...it was not just a risen
spirit...but Jesus' real body of flesh and bone.
People could see him, touch him and see the hole in
His side where He was pierced...and the nail scars
on His hands and feet:
And
after eight days again His disciples were inside,
and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having
been shut, and stood in their midst, and said,
"Peace be with you." 27 Then He said to
Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see My hands;
and reach here your hand, and put it into My side;
and be not unbelieving, but believing." 28
Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my
God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Because you
have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they
who did not see, and yet believed." John 20:26-29 (NAS)
