Was this fulfilling the prophecy?

"For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is the third hour of the day;  but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:"

Was this fulfilling the prophecy?

"And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, 'John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'   "If God therefore gave to them the same gift as He gave to us..."

What miraculous signs occurred:

Apostles spoke in languages so all could hear the gospel in their own language.

What miraculous signs occurred:

The Gentiles spoke in languages, just as it happened in Acts 2 at the beginning.

What were those who heard the message commanded to do by Peter?

After they believed the message, they were told to "repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins."

What were those who heard the message commanded to do by Peter?

They were commanded to be "baptized in the name of Jesus Christ."

The conclusion from this first miraculous event:

Those who hear the message and who repent and are baptized "for the forgive-ness of sins," will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  This promise is to all that the Lord calls.

The conclusion from this 2nd miraculous event:
