Correct.
Hebrews tell us that we should "lay aside" the sin in our life. We should
always try to avoid sin in our life. We cannot be perfect on our own...but
we can resist sin with God's help.
"Therefore,
since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also
lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin
which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that
is set before us..." (NAS)
The writer of Hebrews in the last chapter says:
"Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and
considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith." Hebrews
13:7 (NAS)
Let's continue our study by looking at the faith of those who followed Jesus
prior to His death on the cross.
