Deuteronomy
4:29-31 -- "But from there you will seek the LORD
your God, and you will find Him if you search for
Him with all your heart and all your soul. "When you
are in distress and all these things have come upon
you, in the latter days, you will return to the LORD
your God and listen to His voice. "For the LORD your
God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor
destroy you nor forget the covenant with your
fathers which He swore to them." (NAS)
Deuteronomy 10:17-22 -- "For
the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of
lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God
who does not show partiality, nor take a bribe. "He
executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and
shows His love for the alien by giving him food and
clothing. "So show your love for the alien, for you
were aliens in the land of Egypt. "You shall fear
the LORD your God; you shall serve Him and cling to
Him, and you shall swear by His name. "He is your
praise and He is your God, who has done these great
and awesome things for you which your eyes have
seen. "Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy
persons in all, and now the LORD your God has made
you as numerous as the stars of heaven." (NAS)
2 Chronicles 30:7-9 -- "And do
not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were
unfaithful to the LORD God of their fathers, so that
He made them a horror, as you see. "Now do not
stiffen your neck like your fathers, but yield to
the LORD and enter His sanctuary which He has
consecrated forever, and serve the LORD your God,
that His burning anger may turn away from you. "For
if you return to the LORD, your brothers and your
sons will find compassion before those who led them
captive, and will return to this land. For the LORD
your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not
turn His face away from you if you return to Him."
(NAS)
Psalm 33:12-22 -- "Blessed is
the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He
has chosen for His own inheritance. The LORD looks
from heaven; He sees all the sons of men; From His
dwelling place He looks out On all the inhabitants
of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them
all, He who understands all their works. The king is
not saved by a mighty army; a warrior is not
delivered by great strength. A horse is a false hope
for victory; nor does it deliver anyone by its great
strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those
who fear Him, On those who hope for His
lovingkindness, To deliver their soul from death,
and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for
the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our
heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy
name. Let Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us,
according as we have hoped in Thee." (NAS)
Psalm 59:10 -- "My God in His
lovingkindness will meet me; God will let me look
triumphantly upon my foes." (NAS) Psalm 59:17 -- "O
my strength, I will sing praises to Thee; for God is
my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness."
(NAS)
Psalm 73:1 -- "Surely God is
good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart!"
(NAS) Psalm 116:5 -- "Gracious is the LORD, and
righteous; yes, our God is compassionate." (NAS)
Isaiah 12:1-6 -- "Then you will
say on that day, "I will give thanks to Thee, O
LORD; for although Thou wast angry with me, Thine
anger is turned away, and Thou dost comfort me.
"Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not
be afraid; for the LORD God IS my strength and song,
and He has become my salvation." Therefore you will
joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.
And in that day you will say, "Give thanks to the
LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among
the peoples; make them remember that His name is
exalted." Praise the LORD in song, for He has done
excellent things; let this be known throughout the
earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of
Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of
Israel." (NAS)
Zephaniah 3:17 -- "The LORD
your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He
will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in
His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of
joy." (NAS)
Romans 5:4-5 -- "and hope does
not disappoint, because the love of God has been
poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit
who was given to us." (NAS)
Romans 5:8 -- "But God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (NAS)
Romans 6:23 -- "For the wages
of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (NAS)
Romans 8:31-39 -- "What then
shall we say to these things? If God is for
us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own
Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He
not also with Him freely give us all things? Who
will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the
one who justifies; who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was
raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also
intercedes for us. Who shall separate us from the
love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or
sword? Just as it is written, "For Thy sake we are
being put to death all day long; we were considered
as sheep to be slaughtered." But in all these things
we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor
things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other created thing, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord. (NAS)
1 Corinthians 1:9 -- "God is
faithful, through whom you were called into
fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."
(NAS)
1 Corinthians 10:12-14 --
"Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed
lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you but
such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who
will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are
able, but with the temptation will provide the way
of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry." (NAS)
2 Corinthians 9:7-9 -- "Let
each one do just as he has purposed in his heart;
not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a
cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace
abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in
everything, you may have an abundance for every good
deed; as it is written, "He scattered abroad, he
gave to the poor, His righteousness abides forever."
(NAS)
Ephesians 2:4-7 -- "But God,
being rich in mercy, because of His great love with
which He loved us, even when we were dead in our
transgressions, made us alive together with Christ
(by grace you have been saved), and raised us up
with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly
places in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to
come He might show the surpassing riches of His
grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." (NAS)
Hebrews 4:14-16 -- "Since then
we have a great high priest who has passed through
the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast
our confession. For we do not have a high priest who
cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who
has been tempted in all things as we are, yet
without sin. Let us therefore draw near with
confidence to the throne of grace, that we may
receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of
need." (NAS)
Hebrews 6:9-14 -- "But,
beloved, we are convinced of better things
concerning you, and things that accompany salvation,
though we are speaking in this way. For God is not
unjust so as to forget your work and the love which
you have shown toward His name, in having ministered
and in still ministering to the saints. And we
desire that each one of you show the same diligence
so as to realize the full assurance of hope until
the end, that you may not be sluggish, but imitators
of those who through faith and patience inherit the
promises. For when God made the promise to Abraham,
since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by
Himself, saying, "I will surely bless you, and I
will surely multiply you." (NAS)
Hebrews 11:16 -- "But as it is,
they desire a better country, that is a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God;
for He has prepared a city for them." (NAS)
Hebrews 13:4-6 -- "Let marriage
be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed
be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God
will judge. Let your character be free from the love
of money, being content with what you have; for He
Himself has said, "I will never desert you, nor will
I ever forsake you," so that we confidently say,
"The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What
shall man do to me?" (NAS)
James 5:11 -- "Behold, we count
those blessed who endured. You have heard of the
endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the
Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion
and is merciful." (NAS)
2 Peter 3:7-13 -- "But the
present heavens and earth by His word are being
reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and
destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one
fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord
one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years
as one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise,
as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,
not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to
repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a
thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a
roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense
heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.
Since all these things are to be destroyed in this
way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy
conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the
coming of the day of God, on account of which the
heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the
elements will melt with intense heat! But according
to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a
new earth, in which righteousness dwells." (NAS)
1 John 2:5 -- "but whoever
keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly
been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:"
(NAS) 1 John 3:1 -- "See how great a love the Father
has bestowed upon us, that we should be called
children of God; and such we are. For this reason
the world does not know us, because it did not know
Him." (NAS)
1 John 4:7-12 -- "Beloved, let
us love one another, for love is from God; and
everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The
one who does not love does not know God, for God is
love. By this the love of God was manifested in us,
that God has sent His only begotten Son into the
world so that we might live through Him. In this is
love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us
and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our
sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to
love one another. No one has beheld God at any time;
if we love one another, God abides in us, and His
love is perfected in us." (NAS)
1 John 4:16-21 -- "And we have
come to know and have believed the love which God
has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in
love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this,
love is perfected with us, that we may have
confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is,
so also are we in this world. There is no fear in
love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear
involves punishment, and the one who fears is not
perfected in love. We love, because He first loved
us. If someone says, "I love God," and hates his
brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love
his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom
he has not seen. And this commandment we have from
Him, that the one who loves God should love his
brother also." (NAS)
1 John 5:3 -- "For this is the
love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His
commandments are not burdensome." (NAS)
Revelation 21:3-8 -- "And I
heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold,
the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall
dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and
God Himself shall be among them, and He shall wipe
away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no
longer be any death; there shall no longer be any
mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have
passed away." And He who sits on the throne said,
"Behold, I am making all things new." And He said,
"Write, for these words are faithful and true." And
He said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the
Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the
one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life
without cost. "He who overcomes shall inherit these
things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable
and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and
idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the
lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is
the second death." (NAS)
